As you may know, in January-February 2018 our twins, Adam and Aaron, spent 30 days in the Special Care Nursery at Children's Hospital after being born 6 weeks premature. During this time, I visited them in the hospital every single day, often for 8 hours at a time. Keith visited about 4 days a week, splitting his non-working hours between the twins and Silas- who was only 23 months at the time and was not allowed inside the SCN.
During this time, the Ronald McDonald House was a huge support for our family. They provided us with meals (Keith often went to the hospital right after work and then stayed until after their 10pm cares), coffee, resources, a comfortable place to sit and relax, a tv to watch, and so much more.
For those families who were not so fortunate as to live only 5 miles from the hospital, they also provide space for families to sleep, shower, and store their things. I cannot say enough about this wonderful organization that supports families during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
This summer, Keith, Silas, Adam, Aaron and I are taking part in the Race For The Kids to raise money to support the Ronald McDonald House families in our area.
Please consider making a donation to this incredibly worthy cause. Thank you for your support!!!
